UNIUYO Releases Academic Calendar for 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 Sessions

The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has released the official academic calendar for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions, confirming that academic activities will commence on Monday, November 3, 2025, for all undergraduate and postgraduate students.

According to a notice issued by the Registrar, Mrs. Blossom E. Okorie, both newly admitted and returning students are expected to resume on the same date, with lectures scheduled to begin immediately.

Below is the approved resumption and activity schedule for the sessions:

• Monday, November 3, 2025: Commencement of First Semester and registration begins.
• November 3 – November 5, 2025: Registration without penalty (2 weeks).
• November 24 – December 5, 2025: Registration with penalty (2 weeks).
• November 3 – December 12, 2025: Lectures for all students (6 weeks).
• December 15 – 19, 2025: Orientation for newly admitted students.
• December 22, 2025 – January 2, 2026: Christmas break (2 weeks).
• January 5 – February 13, 2026: Resumption and continuation of lectures (6 weeks).
• February 16 – 20, 2026: Revision of lectures.
• February 23 – March 6, 2026: First Semester Examinations (2 weeks).

The notice further advised all students to complete their registration on the University Portal within the approved timeline, warning that failure to do so may lead to forfeiture of studentship or voluntary withdrawal.

The date for the Matriculation Ceremony will be announced in due course, while all Faculties and Departments have been directed to strictly comply with the approved academic calendar.
