University of Abuja Acting Vice-Chancellor Receives Courtesy Visits and Awards

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Patricia Manko Lar, received courtesy visits from four different groups on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
The groups, comprising the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS), the Muslim Community of the University, the Northern Youth Association of Nigeria, and the Tarok Community in Abuja, congratulated Professor Lar on her appointment and pledged their support for a successful tenure .
The groups expressed their hope that Professor Lar would bring about the desired change, unity, stability, and development to the university community. As a mark of appreciation, the Northern Youth Association of Nigeria and the Tarok Community in Abuja presented Professor Lar with an award of excellence in recognition of her leadership.
In response, Professor Lar expressed gratitude for their support, describing herself as "a child of circumstance." She reiterated her commitment to working "in fairness, justice, and righteousness" and emphasized her dedication to fostering unity and stability within the university community.
Professor Lar's leadership has been recognized through various awards, including the National Excellence Award from the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and the Women Achievers Award from the Centre for Gender and Women's Studies, University of Jos.
