University of Benin Appoints Bimpe Omoyiwola as 10th Substantive Registrar

The Governing Council of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially announced the appointment of Mrs. Bimpe Omoyiwola as the institution's 10th substantive Registrar.

Mrs. Omoyiwola, a seasoned university administrator, is set to succeed the outgoing Registrar, Mr. Ademola Bobola, following the expiration of his tenure. According to the university management, she will formally assume office on April 1, 2026. 

A Milestone Appointment

The appointment follows a rigorous selection process aimed at identifying a leader capable of driving the university's administrative digital transformation. Mrs. Omoyiwola brings extensive experience in academic planning and personnel management to the role, having served in various senior administrative capacities within the university system.

The Vice-Chancellor and the Governing Council expressed their gratitude to the outgoing Registrar, Mr. Bobola, for his years of dedicated service and contributions to the stability of the institution.

As the 10th substantive Registrar, Mrs. Omoyiwola will be responsible for the custody of the university's seal, records, and the general administration of the registry. Her appointment comes at a time when UNIBEN is focused on enhancing its global academic ranking and streamlining student services.
