The University of Delta, Agbor, has officially dedicated its new ultra-modern Students Centre, marking a significant milestone in student welfare and campus development.

The facility, situated on the Main Campus, was dedicated by Rev. Fr. David Mario Dibie during a brief but symbolic ceremony highlighting the university’s commitment to providing a supportive and enabling environment for students.

In his dedication address, Rev. Fr. Dibie commended the Vice-Chancellor for realizing a long-held vision, describing the Students Centre as a landmark achievement. He urged students to take pride in the development and prayed for similar infrastructural provisions for staff members.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Stella Chiemeke praised the contractors for the quality of the construction, describing the facility as “very impressive” and expressing satisfaction with its furnishings. She prayed for a competent and dedicated manager to ensure optimal use and sustainability of the Centre.

The ceremony was attended by key members of university leadership, including Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Patricia Mbah, Registrar Barr. Richmond Omagbemi, Bursar Dr. Sunny Ikeogwu, University Librarian Dr. (Mrs.) Vera Okonoko, members of the Intercessory Team, Deans, Heads of Departments, and other senior staff.

The Students Centre stands as a testament to UNIDEL’s ongoing infrastructural growth and its commitment to enhancing both the academic and social experience of its students.
