The Ika Anglican Diocesan Charity Foundation has awarded scholarships to indigent students of the University of Delta, Agbor (UNIDEL), reinforcing its commitment to education and youth empowerment.

The Foundation visited the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Stella Chiemeke, on Tuesday, 13th January 2026, and hosted a ceremony in the University’s Senate Chambers where selected students received scholarship support.

Founder and Coordinator of the Foundation, Evangelist Ngozi Bamah, urged the beneficiaries to reject antisocial behaviours and dedicate themselves to academic excellence and moral discipline. She praised Professor Chiemeke’s leadership, describing it as transformative and impactful.

“The positive developments at UNIDEL under your leadership are remarkable. Posterity, Delta State, and Nigeria will remember you for life,” Evangelist Bamah said. She explained that the Foundation’s University Scholarship and Reward for Excellence Programme was specifically designed to support underprivileged students. Drawing inspiration from 1 Timothy 4:12, she encouraged awardees to be exemplary in conduct, faith, work, and purity.

In an address titled “Youthful and Useful,” Evangelist Bamah charged students to be purpose-driven, embrace Christ, and avoid destructive vices such as cultism and prostitution. “Those without vision derail easily. Think about where you want to be in ten years. God has remembered you today—don’t waste this opportunity,” she advised.

Responding, Vice-Chancellor Professor Stella Chiemeke commended the Foundation for its timely and consistent intervention. She highlighted that a previous scholarship beneficiary graduated with First Class honors, demonstrating the programme’s effectiveness.
