University of Ibadan Vice-Chancellor Highlights Importance of Transport Services to Campus Life

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan (UI), Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, mni, FAS, has underscored the critical role of transport services in the smooth running of the institution, describing them as central to both academic and administrative life.

He made the remark while receiving the newly elected executives of the Campus Cab Association, led by the Chairman of the Inter-Campus Transport Committee (ICTC), Professor Olumide Olajide, during a courtesy visit. Professor Olajide noted that the elections that produced the new leadership were free and fair, adding that the ICTC had continued to explore innovative ways to ease transportation stress and reduce costs, including efforts to introduce electric tricycles, though such attempts had faced setbacks.
