UNIZIK Advancement Board Joins National Forum in Abuja, Seeks Strategic Partnerships for University Development

The Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) Advancement Board is in Abuja to participate in the National Advancement Forum of University Advancement Professionals, in furtherance of the University’s drive to strengthen fundraising, alumni engagement, strategic partnerships and institutional development.
The Board is participating in the forum alongside the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ugochukwu Stanley Bond Anyaehie, as part of efforts to position UNIZIK for stronger collaboration with advancement professionals and institutions across Nigeria.
The forum brings together professionals in university advancement to exchange ideas, share experiences and explore emerging strategies for mobilising resources and building sustainable partnerships for higher education institutions.
For UNIZIK, the Board’s participation is expected to provide a platform for engaging with advancement professionals from other universities, learning from best practices and identifying innovative approaches that can support the University’s advancement agenda.
Key areas of interest include:
- Fundraising
- Alumni relations and engagement
- Donor relations
- Strategic partnerships
- Institutional development
- Resource mobilisation
The engagement will also enable members of the Advancement Board to expand their professional network and establish relationships with potential partners whose expertise, resources and connections could contribute to the growth and development of the University.
The participation comes as the University continues to pursue its broader institutional development agenda under the leadership of Prof. Anyaehie, with emphasis on building a stronger, more connected and sustainable institution.
Through the forum, the Advancement Board is expected to return with new insights, partnerships and practical strategies that will enhance its capacity to mobilise support and deepen stakeholder participation in the development of “A Greater UNIZIK.”
