Members of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) community have rated the impact of interventions by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) at 70 percent during an ongoing impact and needs assessment exercise conducted by a team of consultants at the institution.

The assessment forms part of TETFund's nationwide evaluation of its interventions in beneficiary tertiary institutions, aimed at measuring the effectiveness of projects, identifying existing challenges, and determining priority areas for future support.
During the exercise, consultants engaged key stakeholders across the university, including management, staff and students, to obtain feedback on TETFund-funded projects and programmes. Discussions focused on the extent of the Fund's contributions to infrastructure, academic development, research, staff training, ICT facilities and other intervention areas.
The outcome of the assessment showed that respondents rated TETFund's overall impact on the university at 70 percent, while also identifying areas requiring additional intervention to improve teaching, learning, research and institutional development.

The consultants noted that findings from the exercise would contribute to TETFund's broader assessment of projects implemented across Nigerian tertiary institutions and help shape future intervention strategies based on the needs identified by beneficiary institutions.
