UNIZIK Governing Council Sets Up Budget Monitoring Committee to Strengthen Financial Oversight

The Governing Council of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has taken a decisive step toward reinforcing financial discipline and institutional accountability with the constitution of a Budget Monitoring Committee. The Committee was inaugurated during the Council’s 20th Emergency Meeting held on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

Constituting the Committee, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Barr. Olugbenga Kukuoyi, charged members to remain committed to promoting the University’s goals with utmost passion, dedication, and transparency. He emphasized the importance of prudent financial oversight and accountability in advancing the institution’s development agenda.

In addition, the Director of Procurement, as well as representatives of the Bursar and the Director of Physical Planning, will attend Committee meetings to provide technical support and guidance.
