The Nnamdi Azikiwe University has commenced sales of application forms for its 2026/2027 postgraduate admissions, offering Full-Time, Part-Time, and Online study options across multiple programmes.

Prospective candidates are required to adhere strictly to the approved fees and timeline, with the university emphasizing that application and transcript deadlines are binding across all study modes.

For the 2026/2027 cycle, application fees are structured as follows: Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s Degree, and MPhil/PhD programmes are pegged at ₦25,000, while Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) applications attract ₦50,000. Applicants are advised to confirm their programme category before making payment to avoid errors.

The application window opened on April 15, 2026, with a deadline of September 8, 2026. Final submission of completed applications—across Full-Time, Part-Time, and Online modes—closes on September 11, 2026.

The university accepts both hard copy and electronic transcripts. However, electronic submissions must be sent directly from official institutional email addresses to the College of Postgraduate Studies via secdr_transcript.cpgs@unizik.edu.ng, with no exceptions to the deadline.

PhD applicants are subject to additional requirements, including the submission of a typed research proposal of not more than five pages through the application portal. Candidates will also undergo a virtual proposal defence, with dates to be communicated by the university.

Interested applicants are expected to complete their registration through the official postgraduate portal within the stipulated timeframe and ensure all supporting documents are submitted before the final deadline.
