Vacancy: Federal College of Education, Iwo Invites Applications for College Librarian Position

The Federal College of Education, Iwo, Osun State, has announced a vacancy for the position of College Librarian and is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of the College Library and the supervision of library services across all teaching units of the institution.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

• A good Bachelor's Degree in Library Science and a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from a recognised institution with at least 15 years of relevant experience; or
• A PhD in Library and Information Science with at least 12 years of relevant experience.

Candidates must also:

• Be registered with a recognised professional library body.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
• Possess sound human relations and administrative skills.
• Show evidence of substantial contributions to knowledge through research and scholarly publications.
• Not be more than 59 years old at the time of appointment.

Tenure

The appointment is for a single term of five years.
