ABU Felicitates with Gen Ibrahim Babangida on 84th Birthday

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has congratulated General Ibrahim Babangida, GCFR, on his 84th birthday. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, led the felicitations, describing Babangida as a living testimony to the importance of continued contributions to national development.

Prof Ahmed highlighted Babangida's strength of character, commitment to Nigeria's unity, and enduring values. He noted that Babangida's life has been an inspiration to generations, and his wisdom, experience, and vision remain vital resources for the country's progress.

The university recalled that Babangida was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree (LL.D) by ABU in 2012, recognizing his contributions to the nation.

Prof Ahmed prayed for God's continued blessings, renewed strength, and long life for Babangida to continue lending his voice, counsel, and guidance to Nigeria's development journey.
