The Senate of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has officially approved the award of a Bachelor of Fisheries (B. Fisheries Hons) with First-Class Honours to Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu. 

This academic milestone is particularly notable as Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu balanced his rigorous studies in the demanding field of Fisheries while serving as the Secretary General of the University's Students' Union Government (SUG) during the 2024/2025 academic session.
