Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, Releases 2025/2026 Academic Calendar

The Office of the Registrar of ATBU, Bauchi, has officially released the Senate-approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The calendar, approved during the Second Semester Senate Examination Meeting on 17th November 2025, provides a comprehensive schedule for all key academic and administrative activities across both semesters.

First Semester (2025/2026)

Online Registration:

• All students (100–500 Level): Monday, 15th December 2025 – Monday, 5th January 2026

Resumption:

• Returning students (200–500 Level): Monday, 5th January 2026
• Lectures for returning students begin: Tuesday, 6th January 2026
• Fresh students (100 and 200 Level): Monday, 12th January 2026

Physical Registration:

• Returning students: 5th – 16th January 2026
• Freshers: 12th – 16th January 2026
• Late registration (with fine): 19th – 23rd January 2026

Key Events:

• Deferment window: 6th January – 3rd February 2026
• Matriculation & Orientation for 100L students: Dates to be announced

Continuous Assessment (CA): 23rd February – 3rd March 2026

First-Semester Examinations: 8th April – 6th May 2026

Public Holidays Included:

• Christmas, New Year, Eid El-Fitr (20th–23rd March), Good Friday/Easter (3rd–6th April), Workers’ Day (1st May), Id El Kabir (27th–28th May)

First-Semester Break: 7th May – 22nd June 2026
