Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Reviews Charges for SIWES Log Books

The Directorate of Industrial Training Coordinating Unit at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) has announced a review of charges for the sale of Students' Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) log books.

 

The new charge for the log books has been increased from ₦2,000 to ₦3,000, effective immediately. This change is due to the rising cost of production.

 

Key guidelines for students purchasing the log books include:

- Students are limited to purchasing a maximum of two log books.

- Log books can only be accessed at the ITCU upon presentation of a verified Remita receipt of payment.

- All log books must be duly signed and stamped.

- The use of e-log books has not yet been implemented and will not be accepted by the ITCU.

 

Additionally, the university has reminded students to submit their letters of acceptance from their places of industrial training in a timely manner to ensure proper supervision. Failure to comply with this directive will result in severe penalties.
