ABUTH School of Health Information Management Matriculates 2025/2026 Cohort Following Full NBTE Accreditation
The School of Health Information Management at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) held its formal matriculation ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. The event, held at the School’s Main Hall, marked the official induction of new students into the health records management profession.
Administrative Guidance: Representing the Director of Administration, Barr. Haj. Hadiza BJ Umar urged students to remain focused and strictly adhere to the institution's rules and regulations.
Academic Excellence: The Acting Principal, Mal. Adamu Zahardeen, encouraged the matriculants to sustain the high academic standards associated with ABUTH and to view the profession as a vital pillar of the medical society.
Statutory Oath: The Hospital Legal Officer, Barr. Amina Manu, administered the matriculation oath, charging the students to use their acquired knowledge for the betterment of society and to uphold the values of compassion and integrity.
The ceremony was attended by prominent officials, including the Hospital Secretary, the Provost of the College of Nursing, and the Acting Head of Department for Health Information Management. This induction serves as a formal entry point for the next generation of health information specialists trained at one of Nigeria’s premier teaching hospitals.
