Acting Provost Commends Kano State Government Over Water Supply Intervention at AKCILS

The Acting Provost of Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies, AKCILS, Dr. Ali Tamasi Mu’az, has commended the Kano State Government for its continued support and commitment to the development of the College.

Dr. Tamasi made the commendation while inspecting the ongoing construction of a borehole project being executed at the College by the Kano State Ministry of Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change.

The Acting Provost described the intervention as a demonstration of the State Government’s commitment to addressing critical infrastructural needs and promoting the growth and development of educational institutions across the state.

He expressed optimism that the completion of the project would significantly improve water supply within the College and enhance access to water for staff and students.

“This intervention will really enhance constant water supply in our College because, when completed, the borehole will increase the volume of water supply in this institution,” Dr. Tamasi said.

He also commended the State Government for the borehole project and the recent provision and distribution of essential working materials to strategic officers of the College.

According to him, the two interventions are clear indications of the government’s commitment to improving the educational sector and creating a conducive environment for effective service delivery.

“We are happy and thankful to the Kano State Government for this intervention. This, together with the provision of the necessary working materials which we have distributed, is a good pointer that the Kano State Government is keen to give adequate attention to the overall development of education in the State,” he added.

The borehole project, which has a water storage capacity of 22,500 litres, is expected to substantially improve water availability within the College upon completion.

Dr. Tamasi reiterated the commitment of the College Management to working closely with the Kano State Government and other relevant stakeholders to address the infrastructural and developmental needs of AKCILS. He said such collaboration would further strengthen the College’s capacity to provide an enabling environment for teaching, learning and effective administration.
