The Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN), Ibusa, Delta State, has announced internal and external vacancies for the role of Chief Security Officer (CSO).
The vacancies were made public through an official notice signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Commodore Isaac M. Mankilik (rtd), PhD.
Chief Security Officer (CSO) Vacancy
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Chief Security Officer.
Qualifications and Experience
- A good honours degree in Law, Psychology, or Social Sciences from a recognized university; or an ex-service officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police or its equivalent in other armed forces, with at least 13 years of cognate experience.
- A higher degree in related disciplines will be an added advantage.
- Candidates must not be above 60 years of age at the time of appointment.

Responsibilities
The CSO will be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for:
- Security Administration – Developing and implementing security policies, supervising operations, and maintaining records.
- Staff Supervision and Training – Managing, training, and supervising security staff.
- Campus Surveillance and Patrolling – Overseeing patrols and monitoring infrastructure.
- Crisis Management and Emergency Response – Leading responses to emergencies such as protests, fires, or natural disasters.
- Law Enforcement Liaison – Acting as liaison with Police, DSS, and other security agencies.
- Intelligence and Threat Assessment – Gathering intelligence and implementing preventive strategies.
- Visitors and Access Control – Enforcing access policies and managing campus entry.
- Reporting and Advisory – Providing updates and advisory reports to the Vice-Chancellor.
