ADUN Celebrates One Year of Leadership of Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christopher B. N. Ogbogbo

The management and community of Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) on Wednesday, March 12, 2026, marked the first anniversary of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Christopher Bankole Ndubuisi Ogbogbo, in office. 

The brief celebration, attended by invited dignitaries, principal officers, staff, and members of the university community, provided an opportunity to reflect on the progress recorded under his leadership and express optimism for greater achievements.

As part of the celebration, a novelty football match at the ADUN Sports Stadium saw ADUN Staff FC defeat Ogwashi-Uku All Stars 2–1. Peter Adah scored both goals for ADUN Staff FC—first in the 26th minute after an exchange with Akaka, and again in the 75th minute from a free kick, while Ifechukwude Nelson equalised for Ogwashi-Uku All Stars in the 66th minute.

The Vice-Chancellor performed the ceremonial kickoff in the presence of principal officers, professors, deans, heads of departments, governing council members, representatives of royal fathers from neighbouring communities, and other dignitaries.

 He was also presented with the ADUN Staff FC jersey before both team captains introduced their players to the dignitaries. The closely contested match added excitement and camaraderie to the anniversary celebration.
