Ahmadu Bello University Calls for Submission of Proposals for Honorary Degrees
Proposals must highlight candidates who have distinguished themselves through their work in their specialized fields or community service. Posthumous nominations may be considered only under exceptional circumstances.

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has announced a call for proposals for the conferment of honorary degrees during the 44th convocation ceremonies. In accordance with the provisions of Statute 11 (2), the university invites proposals for individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields, including education, public service, and the arts.
Proposals must highlight candidates who have distinguished themselves through their work in their specialized fields or community service. Posthumous nominations may be considered only under exceptional circumstances.
The university requests that proposals be submitted to the Registrar by December 20, 2024. Nominations should include detailed information about the candidate, such as their curriculum vitae, and must come from the Visitor, Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, university officers, or members of the Council and Senate.
Only nominations from these designated officers will be considered in line with the university's statute.
