Ahmadu Bello University Centre for Economics and Finance Organizes 10-Day Workshop on Statistical Software Tools

The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Centre for Economics and Finance has commenced a 10-day workshop for academic staff and postgraduate students. The workshop aims to equip participants with requisite skills on statistical software tools, enhancing their capacity for data analysis and policy-making.

 

The opening ceremony, held at the centre's conference hall, was attended by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, who commended the centre's Director, Prof. Auwalu Haruna, for initiating the workshop. Prof. Bala emphasized the importance of capacity building for robust research and academic excellence.

Prof. Haruna, in his welcome address, encouraged participants to be actively engaged throughout the workshop. He outlined the objectives of the workshop, which include improving research methodology, academic teaching, and industry-relevant skills.

The workshop will focus on enhancing knowledge of software tools such as Eviews, Nvivo, Smart PLS, and SPSS, among others. Participants from various educational institutions are attending the workshop, which is expected to contribute significantly to the development of statistical analysis skills in the academia.
