Ahmadu Bello University's ACENPEE Hosts Innovation Week for Students

The Africa Centre of Excellence on New Pedagogies in Engineering Education (ACENPEE) at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has organized an innovation week for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The event provides a platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas and research projects.

In his address, Centre Director Prof. Raymond Bako congratulated participants and emphasized the centre's commitment to supporting postgraduate students. He encouraged students to apply for grants and explore opportunities with guidance from the centre.

The Local Organising Committee Chairman, Prof. F.O. Anafi, announced that the innovation week will become an annual event, with over 50 applications received from various departments.

Director of Research and Innovation, Prof. Joy J. Maina, commended the centre for promoting research and innovation, urging judges to identify patentable ideas for further development.

Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Abdullahi Dalhatu, appreciated the centre's efforts in complementing faculty activities and called for increased collaborations.

The innovation week aims to foster creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship among students, aligning with ABU's commitment to excellence in education and research.
