The Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Students' Union Government (SUG) of the Akwa Ibom State College of Education (AKSCOE), Afaha Nsit, has dismissed reports claiming that the institution will resume academic activities on 25th August, 2026.

The Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Students' Union Government (SUG) of the Akwa Ibom State College of Education (AKSCOE), Afaha Nsit, has dismissed reports claiming that the institution will resume academic activities on 25th August, 2026.

According to the Students' Union, the widely circulated notice announcing the purported resumption date is not an official communication from the College.

The Union stated that the college management has not approved or announced any official resumption date. Students have therefore been advised to disregard the rumour and await a formal announcement from the Office of the Director of Information before making any travel or academic plans.

The Students' Union also urged students to rely only on information released through the institution's official communication channels to avoid being misled by false or unverified reports.
