Al-Hikmah University COHSSA Commemorates World Health Day 2026 with Focus on Healthy Living and Responsibility

The College of Health Sciences Students Association (COHSSA) at Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, marked World Health Day 2026 with a comprehensive awareness programme aimed at promoting wellness and informed decision-making among students.

The event, themed "Healthy Lifestyle and Responsible Choices: Preventing Drug Abuse, Promoting Sexual Responsibility, and Encouraging Longevity," served as a platform for critical discourse on contemporary health challenges facing the youth.

The association was honoured to host Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam, the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Kwara State, as the Guest Speaker. In her address, Dr. El-Imam provided deep insights into the dangers of substance abuse and the long-term benefits of maintaining sexual responsibility. She emphasized that the choices made during one's youth are the primary determinants of health and longevity in later years.
