ASUU Kano Zone Announces Industrial Action Over Kaduna State University Dispute

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Kano Zone has initiated industrial action at Kaduna State University (KASU) due to unresolved disputes.

The issues driving the action include withheld salaries, unpaid Earned Academic Allowances, promotion arrears, and pension fund remittance, among others.

The ASUU Kano Zone, comprising seven universities, met to review the situation and resolved to support the Kaduna State University branch in their industrial action, which began on April 24, 2025. The union seeks to address long-standing grievances and ensure the university adheres to agreed-upon conditions of service.
