ASUU Sokoto State University Chapter Suspends Indefinite Strike

ASUU Sokoto State University Chapter Suspends Indefinite Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Sokoto State University (SSU) Branch, has suspended its ongoing indefinite strike, effective immediately.

This decision was made during a meeting held on March 6, 2025, where members were instructed to resume work following approval from ASUU's National Executive Council.

The suspension of the strike is expected to bring relief to students and staff, who have been affected by the indefinite strike action that commenced on February 26, 2025 . The strike was called in response to lingering issues, including concerns related to the university administration, governing council, and state government.

With the strike now suspended, academic activities, including statutory meetings, examinations, supervision of students, marking, and grading of scripts, are expected to resume immediately.
