Azman University Receives Full Statutory Licence from NUC

Azman University has officially received its Full Statutory Licence from the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Universities Commission (NUC), formally establishing the institution as a fully licensed private university.

The licence was presented on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the NUC Office of the Executive Secretary in Abuja and received on behalf of the University by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Fatima Batul Mukhtar, and the University Vice President, Alh. Mustapha Abdulmunaf Yunusa.

The milestone follows the successful completion of the University's probationary period, which began with its initial licensing in 2023, and a comprehensive NUC validation assessment covering its academic programmes, faculty, governance, infrastructure, and quality assurance systems.

The licence was issued through the Federal Ministry of Education and the NUC, under the leadership of Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, Honourable Minister of Education, and Prof. Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, NUC Executive Secretary.

The achievement marks a significant milestone in Azman University's development and reflects its commitment to academic quality, regulatory compliance, innovation, and accessible higher education.
