Bank of Industry to Establish Technology Hub in BUK

 As part of its project aimed at promoting
entrepreneurship amongst the youths.
Speaking during a courtesy visit on the Vice Chancellor,the Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas,on Thursday, 29 September 2022, the General Manager in charge of Small Medium Scale Enterprises (North), Dr.Rislanuddeen Muhammad, explained that the technology hub was part of the corporate social responsibility of the bank to set up a facility aimed at providing co-working spaces internet, power, and innovation programs with a view to transforming Nigerian entrepreneurship.

“As soon as we get the available space within the campus that meets our specification, we shall immediately commence work on the project.

This is a gift from the Bank of Industry to Bayero University,” he explained.

According to him the project is in line with the mission of the bank to transform Nigeria's industrial sector by providing financial and business support services with a view creating new businesses as well as thriving the existing ones as government alone cannot provide
employment to everybody; therefore, introduction of this project by the bank would go a long way towards minimizing the impact of unemployment by engaging our teeming youths into entrepreneurial ventures after
graduation.

Dr. Muhammad disclosed that the bank recognized that digital technology and innovation programs can help drive the transformation of a nation. “Indeed, many
countries and organizations have remained relevant through sustained investment in technologies and innovation ecosystem.”
