Kano State Polytechnic Appoints Mal. Magaji Rabi'u Garun-Danga as New Registrar

The Visitor to Kano State Polytechnic and Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the appointment of Mal. Magaji Rabi'u Garun-Danga as the new Registrar of the institution, effective September 16, 2026.

The appointment was conveyed through a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Alh. Umar Farouk Ibrahim.

Before his appointment, Mal. Garun-Danga served as Deputy Registrar, Human Resource, Kano State Polytechnic. He succeeds Alh. Mukhtar Ibrahim Bello, whose tenure has ended.

Mal. Magaji Rabi'u Garun-Danga is a seasoned administrator, equipped with professional competence, confidence and extensive administrative experience. His appointment reflects his capacity to provide effective leadership, strengthen institutional administration and contribute to the continued growth and development of the Polytechnic.

On behalf of the Governing Council, Management, staff and students of the Polytechnic, the Rector, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, FCA, congratulated the new Registrar on his appointment. He also expressed appreciation to the outgoing Registrar for his dedicated service to the institution and wished him success in his future endeavours.

The Polytechnic community further expressed its gratitude to the Governor for appointing a successor from within the institution, describing the decision as a recognition of the wealth of experience, professional expertise and administrative capacity available within the Polytechnic to manage its affairs effectively.
