Bayero University Kano Marks 100 Days of Professor Haruna Musa’s Vice‑Chancellorship

The Digital Media Unit of the Directorate of Public Affairs at Bayero University Kano (BUK) has released a summary of the first 100 days in office of the university’s 12th Vice‑Chancellor, Professor Haruna Musa, fsi.

Professor Musa, appointed as Vice‑Chancellor in July 2025, has focused on “visionary, people‑centred transformation.” Strategic initiatives aimed at positioning BUK among the top 100 universities worldwide, with emphasis on excellence in teaching, impactful research and transparent administration.

In a statement issued by Nura Garba, Head of the Digital Media Unit, the university community commended Professor Musa for his humility, foresight and commitment to a prosperous future for BUK. The release notes that these early actions have set a strong foundation for sustained progress under his leadership.
