BPP Inspects UNIABUJA Campus Ahead of Planned International Centre for Procurement Governance
The Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, led a management team to the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) campus to inspect the proposed site for the planned International Centre for Procurement Governance, Integrity and Assurance.

The visit follows a recent strategic meeting between UNIABUJA and the BPP on establishing the Centre, aimed at bridging academic research and professional public procurement practices.
The delegation was warmly received by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the University Governing Council, Distinguished Senator Dr. Olanrewaju Tejuoso, who expressed gratitude for the visit and highlighted the Centre’s potential as a hub for government officials, business leaders, legislators, ministers, and other stakeholders to engage with experts in procurement, governance, and integrity.
Dr. Adedokun emphasised the critical role of universities in training future leaders in specialised fields such as public procurement and expressed confidence that UNIABUJA is strategically positioned for the Centre’s establishment.

The collaboration is expected to enhance professional capacity, promote best practices, and strengthen governance standards across the public sector in Nigeria.
