LASU Reopens Indigeneship Verification Portal for JUPEB and Direct Entry Candidates

Lagos State University (LASU) has reopened its 2026/2027 Independent Indigeneship Verification Exercise (IIVE) portal for JUPEB graduates and other Direct Entry (DE) candidates who are indigenes of Lagos State but have not yet participated in the verification process.

The special window, approved by the Vice-Chancellor, will run from Monday, October 12, to Friday, October 16, 2026.

The exercise is exclusively for eligible candidates who selected LASU as their first-choice institution during the 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration and have yet to complete the indigeneship verification process.

LASU explained that the Indigeneship Verification Exercise is a mandatory pre-admission screening for candidates of Lagos State origin. The process is conducted by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) and serves as a prerequisite for admission consideration.

The university emphasised that candidates who are indigenes of Lagos State cannot receive admission offers without first obtaining clearance through the exercise.
