Federal Poly Nekede Announces ₦25,000 Certificate Processing Fee Ahead of 2026 Convocation

The Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, has announced a certificate processing fee of ₦25,000 for affected graduating students ahead of the institution’s 2026 Convocation Ceremony.

Management had earlier informed the Polytechnic community of its decision to issue certificates to eligible graduates on the day of the 2026 Convocation Ceremony.

At its 8th meeting held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, Management also decided that the 2026 Convocation Ceremony would be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, subject to confirmation by the Academic Board and Governing Council.

Accordingly, all affected graduating students are required to pay the usual certificate processing fee of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira (₦25,000.00) only at the Polytechnic Microfinance Bank.

Management reiterated that, henceforth, in line with the administrative best practices being pursued by the Rector and the Management Team, certificates will be issued to eligible graduates on Convocation Day.

Graduands are therefore advised to complete all required payments before the ceremony to facilitate the seamless collection of their certificates.

They are also required to note that evidence of payment of the certificate processing fee will constitute one of the mandatory requirements for participation in the Convocation Ceremony and collection of certificates on the Convocation Day.

As part of the new arrangement, Management has approved that any graduate who fails to collect their certificate within one year after graduation will be required to pay a prescribed annual certificate storage charge to be determined by Management.

The storage charge will continue to accrue annually until the certificate is collected.

Heads of Divisions, Deans of Schools, Directors, Heads of Departments, both Teaching and Non-Teaching, and all other concerned officers have been directed to give the memorandum the widest possible publicity to ensure that all affected graduating students are adequately informed and comply with the directive.
