BUK Commits to Enhancing Optometry Department Facilities

 Bayero University Kano (BUK) Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, has pledged to upgrade teaching facilities in the Optometry Department to meet the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria's specifications.

During a courtesy visit from the accreditation team, Professor Abbas assured that the university is committed to quality and standard in teaching and research, adhering to regulatory guidelines. He promised to address the observed facility needs within the next few months.

"I assure you that we shall do our best to provide all the basic facilities needed to make our Optometry program one of the best in the country," said Professor Abbas.

He commended the Board for its efforts in ensuring high standards in optometry education.
