BUK Confirms Hostel Allocation Preparations Underway, Warns Against Unofficial Sources

The Deanery of Student Affairs, Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has clarified that preparations for hostel allocation for the 2025/2026 academic session are ongoing, and students should disregard any circulating information from unauthorized sources.

In a notice dated 24th February 2026, the university warned against applications or instructions being shared through individuals or business centres (cafés), emphasizing that such channels are not official and should not be followed.

The Deanery assured students that a comprehensive official statement with full guidelines and procedures will be released once preparations are complete. Students are advised to remain patient and await the official communication from the university.
