Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, Vice Chancellor of Bayero University Kano, emphasized the need for education and enlightenment on the Nigerian Capital Market operation to encourage participation in stock market investment.

He spoke at the opening ceremony of the zonal Hybrid sensitization seminar for investors and the business community in the North West region, jointly organized by the Investment and Securities Tribunal and the Faculty of Law, Bayero University, Kano.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness about the capital market and the roles of the investment and securities tribunal, addressing the lack of proper information that has deterred prospective investors. Professor Abbas commended the timely organization of the workshop and encouraged deeper collaboration between the tribunal and the university, including internship opportunities, capacity building, and conference participation.
Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, represented by Commissioner for Investment, Hon. Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, welcomed the tribunal to Kano State and expressed the administration's commitment to creating a conducive environment for business development and investment.
