BUK's Dean Professor Ibrahim Adamu Becomes First in Northern Nigeria to Win Pharmanews Dean's Award, Third Nationwide

Professor Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bayero University, Kano, has made history by becoming the first Dean from Northern Nigeria to win the prestigious 2024 Pharmanews Dean's Award.

Professor Yakasai secured the award with a total of 904 votes, surpassing the first runner-up, Professor Emmanuel Attih of the University of Uyo, who garnered 580 votes.

The highly competitive online poll also featured Professor Gloria Ayoola of the University of Lagos, who received 560 votes, and Associate Professor John Alfa of Bingham University, who polled 188 votes.
