The Confucius Institute at the University of Lagos (CI, UNILAG) invites applications from candidates interested in Mandarin Chinese proficiency courses for 2026.
Programme Overview
The Institute offers six progressive levels (HSK 1–6) of Mandarin Chinese Language Proficiency. Students sit for the international HSK examination at the end of each level, with successful candidates advancing to the next stage.
Available Packages:
- Weekday Package: 3 contact hours, twice weekly
- Weekend Package: 3 contact hours on Saturdays

Admission Requirements
- Complete the E-Application Form with a recent passport photograph: Apply Here
- Minimum academic qualification: WAEC/NECO certificate (attach to form)
- Valid identification: NIN, International Passport, Driver’s License, Voter’s Card, or UNILAG Current ID
For UNILAG Students & Staff Only:
- Students: Admission letter + completed student biodata form
- Staff: HRMD recommendation letter or current UNILAG ID Card
