COOU Conducts ICT Promotion Examination for Non-Academic Staff

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) has conducted its 2026 Promotional Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Examination for non-academic staff as part of the requirements for the institution's staff appraisal and promotion exercise.

The examination, held at the University's E-Library, marks another step in COOU's ongoing transition from analogue operations to a digitally driven administrative system.

The exercise was coordinated by the Director of ICT, Prof. J. P. Iloh, and his team, who supervised the examination and ensured it was conducted smoothly, transparently, and without disruptions. Staff members participated in the exercise under a conducive environment, with technical support provided throughout the process.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, visited the examination venue to monitor the exercise, reaffirming the University's commitment to institutional reforms and staff development.

While interacting with participants, Prof. Omenugha commended staff for embracing digital skills, describing ICT competence as an essential requirement for a modern university workforce. She reiterated that the University's goal is to build a workforce capable of thriving in an increasingly technology-driven global environment.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, the ICT examination reflects COOU's commitment to making digital literacy a core component of staff development and career advancement.
