The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has renewed the appointment of Dr Darlington-Peter Ugoji for a second term as the substantive Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) of David Umahi Federal University Teaching Hospital, Uburu.
The approval was conveyed by the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Ms Daju Kachollom, through a letter signed on her behalf by the Director of Hospital Services, Dr Abisola Adegoke.
The letter, dated May 19, 2026, confirmed the ratification of Dr Ugoji’s re-appointment for a second and final term in the position.
Following the development, the Chief Medical Director of DUFUTH, Prof. Dr (Mrs) Uzoma Maryrose Agwu, congratulated Dr Ugoji and urged him to sustain and strengthen the hospital’s ongoing drive toward improved healthcare delivery.
She noted that his continued leadership would be vital in advancing quality medical services for Uburu, surrounding communities, and Nigeria at large.
The hospital management described the renewal as a vote of confidence in Dr Ugoji’s performance and professional contributions to the institution’s clinical governance structure.
