Delta State University (DELSU) has released the approved hostel accommodation fees for the 2025/2026 academic session, providing students with a clear breakdown of costs and options across its halls of residence.
The University typically experiences high demand for on-campus accommodation at the start of each session, prompting students to secure spaces early to avoid last-minute rush.

For the new academic year, the institution has confirmed the following rates:
Abraka Hall (Male) – N55,000
Ethiope Hall (Female) – N55,000
Council Hall (Female) – N55,000
Eco Hall (Male and Female) – N60,000
NDDC Hall (Female) – N85,000
Medical Hall (Male and Female) – N80,000
The halls vary in size, occupancy, and level of convenience. Lower-cost hostels generally operate shared accommodation systems, while the higher-priced halls attract students seeking quieter environments and smaller room capacity. Most hostels offer steady water supply and shared kitchen facilities, enabling residents to prepare basic meals. Many students also value the academic support and sense of community that come with living close to lecture areas and study spaces.
The University advises students to begin the hostel application process promptly, ensure payments correspond with the approved fees for their chosen halls, and keep all receipts intact for verification. Early application remains the most reliable strategy for securing a preferred space, especially for new entrants who may find on-campus accommodation helpful while adjusting to academic life.
