Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf Signed Bill into law For Establishing Gaya Polytechnic

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has signed into law a bill establishing Gaya Polytechnic, a move aimed at expanding access to tertiary education and technical skills training in the state.

The signing ceremony took place at the Government House in Kano, with the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Ismail Falgore, and Deputy Speaker Muhammad Bello Butubutu, present to witness the historic moment. 

This development is expected to create new opportunities for young people in Gaya Local Government and surrounding areas to acquire practical skills and technical knowledge essential for economic growth. Governor Yusuf emphasized that the polytechnic will contribute significantly to job creation, innovation, and socio-economic development in the region, aligning with the state's agenda of providing accessible and affordable education. 

The establishment of Gaya Polytechnic is part of the state government's broader plan to strengthen educational infrastructure and support economic development across Kano State. Once operational, the institution is expected to provide vocational and technical training for youths, ultimately boosting local economies and enhancing the state's human capital base.
