The Director of Sports, Bayero University Kano, Professor Rabiu Mohammed has commended the university’s football team for their impressive performance despite their narrow 0–1 defeat to Northwest University, Kano, in the ongoing NUGA preliminaries on Tuesday, 28th October, 2025.
He praised the players for their sportsmanship and resilience, noting that although the result was disappointing, their display on the pitch showed great promise.
“You played better, and it’s not over yet,” he encouraged, urging the team to stay focused and give their best in the upcoming matches.
The Director charged the players to remain determined and committed as they continue their quest for qualification to the main NUGA Games.
BUK will face Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, in their second match tomorrow, Wednesday, 29th October, 2025.
