The Damnnish Human Capacity Building Initiative (DHCBI) has paid a courtesy visit to Kashim Ibrahim University (KIU).
Leader of the delegation, the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator of DHCBI, Mr. Sulu Abdullahi, explained that the visit was aimed at conducting a needs assessment to identify gaps, challenges, and hygiene conditions affecting students residing on campus hostels.
Mr. Abdullahi stated that the assessment would involve both qualitative and quantitative approaches, including random sampling and focus group discussions with students.
He noted that the exercise is designed to generate key and critical findings that will guide interventions to support improved hygiene practices and a cleaner, healthier hostel environment for students.
Responding on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice chancellor Central Administration Professor Shettima Bulama Mustapha, welcomed the DHCBI team and described the visit as a significant development.
He commended the organisation for its commitment to practical, impact-driven support, noting that the value of the initiative would be evident once implemented.
Professor Bulama assured the team of the University’s full cooperation and maximum support to facilitate the successful conduct of the assessment and research activities in the University.
