One Small Step Forward Everyday By Oluwadunsin Adekola ,Ph.D
About two years into my PhD program, I was feeling completely overwhelmed and confused. I was struggling to stay motivated, and I felt like I was making very little progress. However, I refused to let my doubts and fears get the best of me. Instead, I focused on taking small steps forward every day, even if it felt like I was moving at a glacial pace.

With time, I was able to make significant progress, and I even managed to publish two papers before submitting my thesis. These achievements not only boosted my confidence, but they also helped me to realize that I was capable of achieving my goals, even in the face of adversity.
In the month of January this year, I was at a cross road. I was getting worried and agitated. By the way, I hardly get worried. My wife came through for me. She reminded me what God has said about us. Guess what? That was all I needed. With her support, I was good to go.
Don't be afraid to keep pushing forward, no matter how difficult things may seem. Your journey may be different from mine, but the principles of hard work, perseverance, support-system, prayers and determination apply to us all. Whether you are struggling with a particular course, a challenging project, or a personal issue, remember that you are capable of overcoming it. You have been empowered by God.
So, I urge you to never give up on your dreams. Keep pushing forward, and know that every small step you take brings you one step closer to your ultimate goal. Don't be afraid to seek for help. The Lord is FOR you, not AGAINST you.
Your dreams are valid,
Oluwadunsin Adekola!
