Dr. Abraham Yusuf Gana Appointed as Overseer of Federal College of Education, Jama’are

The Governing Council of the Federal College of Education (FCE), Jama’are, has officially announced the appointment of Dr. Abraham Yusuf Gana as the Overseer of the institution. The appointment took effect on March 17, 2026, following the successful completion of the tenure of the previous Provost, Professor Aisha Indo Mohammed. 

As an experienced educator with digital leadership capacity, Dr. Gana is tasked with working closely with the Governing Council to strengthen the college’s internal systems. His primary role includes facilitating the statutory process for the selection and appointment of a substantive Provost, Bursar, and College Librarian.

The National Union of Jama’are Emirate Students (NUJES) and other stakeholder groups have extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Gana, describing his appointment as a testament to his dedication and commitment to academic excellence. In his response, Dr. Gana encouraged students to remain law-abiding and to act as positive ambassadors for the institution. 

The Governing Council also approved several other key appointments to ensure administrative continuity:

These appointments are intended to manage the institution's affairs pending the finalization of substantive management roles.
