The Executive Chairman of the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Professor Femi Akinwumi, has issued a directive to contractors bidding for the 2025 UBEC/SUBEB Intervention Projects, demanding strict compliance with approved quality standards and project timelines.
Speaking at the official bid-opening ceremony held at the SUBEB headquarters in Ado-Ekiti, Professor Akinwumi emphasized that the prompt delivery of the 2025 infrastructure cycle is a mandatory prerequisite for activating newly approved funds for 2026.Verification Needed for 2026 FundingWhile Ekiti State has secured formal approvals from the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) for its 2026 developmental roadmap, physical implementation remains legally frozen until ongoing projects are completed and verified.

Professor Akinwumi emphasized that while 2026 project approvals are in place, work cannot begin until 2025 projects are finalized, documented, and verified by UBEC.
