EKSU Alumni Leaders Visit Ooni of Ife, Present Portrait and Publications

In a renewed drive to strengthen institutional bonds and deepen cultural partnerships, the Global President of the Ekiti State University (EKSU) Alumni Association Worldwide, Ambassador Seyi Idowu, has led a high-powered delegation of the association on a courtesy visit to the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.

The visit, facilitated by renowned philanthropist and Asoju Oodua, Dr. Ayo Abina, himself a proud alumnus of EKSU, provided a platform for constructive engagement between the royal institution and the alumni leadership.

A major highlight of the event was the presentation of a beautifully crafted large portrait of the Ooni to the monarch. The delegation also offered him copies of the association’s recently published Global Convention Brochure and the Hall of Fame Compendium, documents that capture the milestones, achievements, and emerging visions of the EKSU Alumni Association.

Ambassador Idowu, while addressing the revered monarch, briefed him on developmental strides within the alumni body, including ongoing reforms, strategic projects, and efforts aimed at strengthening alumni involvement in the growth of Ekiti State University. He emphasized the association’s commitment to fostering stronger partnerships with traditional institutions and key stakeholders across Yorubaland and beyond.

The Ooni, visibly delighted by the gesture, commended the association for its unity of purpose and its continued contributions to national development through educational advancement and alumni-driven initiatives.

The visit ended with prayers for greater progress in the university community, the alumni association, and the nation at large, as well as renewed assurances of collaboration between the palace and the EKSU Alumni family.
