EKSU's management emphasized that the institution is safe and secure, with security agencies and the university's internal security unit on high alert to prevent any breach .

The Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Alabi, also debunked reports of bandits invading a farmstead in his community, describing them as fake. He assured residents that there are no bandits or kidnappings in Ilawe Ekiti or on roads leading to the community.
