Elizade University Secures Full NUC Accreditation for Law and Five Other Programmes

Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, has recorded a major academic milestone following the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation exercise conducted in October/November 2025, with full accreditation granted to its Law programme and five other academic disciplines.

The approval was formally communicated in a letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Philip Oguntunde, and signed by the NUC Director of Accreditation, Engr. Abraham Chundusu.

Programmes Granted Full Accreditation

The accredited programmes include:

• Law
• Accounting
• Business Administration
• Human Resource Management
• Computer Science
• Microbiology

This outcome confirms that the affected programmes have met the required national academic and quality assurance benchmarks set by the NUC.

In a statement issued by the Registrar, Mr. Omololu Adegbenro, the Vice-Chancellor commended the university community for what he described as a collective achievement driven by consistency and institutional discipline.

He specifically acknowledged the contributions of faculty members and staff in the accredited departments, noting their commitment to academic quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Prof. Oguntunde further reaffirmed the institution’s resolve to sustain and strengthen its academic standards, emphasizing that institutional growth depends heavily on teamwork, accountability, and quality assurance culture.

The development reinforces Elizade University’s long-standing track record of maintaining full accreditation status across key programmes since its establishment in 2013, positioning the institution as a stable player in Nigeria’s private university space.
